About ADR BAR
‘ A journey of thousand miles begin with a single step’
– Lao Tzu
The ADR has come a long way in our country. It is imbibed in our culture and our day-to-day life since ages. However, over the period of time, ADR seems to have lost its shine for various obvious reasons and society became more adversarial. Inspite of the advent of robust laws and regulations, there is still much required to be done to make India as the hub of ADR.
With this background in mind, our visionary – Mr. Sameer Shah along with able support of Mr. Ethelwald Mendes embarked on this journey of rehauling and revamping the ADR culture and system in our country with an aim to make Alternative Dispute Resolution as the Appropriate Dispute Resolution mechanism.
And thus – ADR BAR was born!
It is a trust registered under a Trust Deed dated 15.09.2022 with its office at Goa, India
It is a unique socialistic, holistic, and reforming initiative to create an exclusive platform for ADR practitioners, aspirants, and beneficiaries for revamping, improving, promoting, and developing ADR in our country and make it the “PREFERRED” mode of dispute resolution.

Arbitration and Mediation are the two main pillars of ADR and other modes branches out of them.
Though arbitration and mediation are related siblings, the skillsets required for a successful resolution through each of them are different. Thus, while maintaining the distinction between these two pillars, we strive to make a combined use of the two for an effective resolution.
We recognize that oftentimes, in a traditional adversarial system, disputants may not get justice due to procedural compliances and adherence. Therefore, ADR is the only and appropriate mechanism that provides party autonomy through which the disputants can satiate with actual justice. #easeofgettingjustice.
We are committed to #beingchangemakers by building a robust, reliable, responsive, responsible and rewarding ecosystem for targeted ADR practice with the sole mission of providing justice to litigants.
All dedicated and committed for the cause of ADR are warmly welcome
We seek your support and participation on this journey.
Together, we can, we will !!
