Law Practitioner
They must choose to be affiliated with either the Arbitration Bar or the Mediation Bar. This is because, at ADR Bar, we are committed to honing specific skills required for each of these practice areas, which would only be possible by a concentrated focus on any one area. This is also why we have dedicated co-chairs for arbitration and mediation, and separate regional councils for each of them. For the other grounds of membership, however, there is no such bar.
‘Academic’ membership
We strongly believe in fostering and growing research & development in ADR law, and therefore, invite researchers, academicians, thinkers and writers to apply under our ‘Academic’ membership. In the interest of full disclosure, however, do note that we may seek and store adequate documentation to verify your affiliations and academic status.
Student Memberships
While Student Memberships are free these are valid only up to the time the person is a student. This membership will have to be renewed annually, at which time a thorough verification would be done of the person’s student status. For this, do note that we may seek and store copies of adequate documentation to complete such verification (such as a college ID card etc.).
Benefits of Membership
- Every paid member receives a free podcast spotlight for up to 15 min, where such members can speak about their journey and practice within the law on The Daily Lawyer Podcast; (*scheduling link would be made available on proof of confirmed membership) (#ADR spotlight)
- An exclusive blog section for #ADRBAR members on The Daily Lawyer Blog, to publish articles on various aspects regarding the law (*subject to scrutiny by the Executive Committee)
By virtue of being a platform fully dedicated to ADR, practitioners have multiple opportunities to network and collaborate with serious ADR practitioners, thus helping their personal practice and skill, grow exponentially.
- Also, by virtue of this being a holistic ADR platform frequented by ADR users as well, members have ample opportunities to meet potential clients, thus directly growing their practice.
